Teens Kill, Decapitate, & Torch

On Monday, eighteen-year-old Alexander James Letkemann and seventeen-year-old Jean-Pierre Orlewicz were charged with first-degree murder, felony murder, and mutilation of a corpse. Allegedly, Letkemann and Orlewicz abducted twenty-six-year-old Daniel Gene-Vincent Sorensen. They slit his throat. They stabbed him. They sawed off his head. They discarded his body. They burned his cadaver.

Letkemann and Orlewicz’s crime was grisly. Their crime was ghastly. Their crime was horrifying. Clearly, premeditation was involved. This should increase punishment. Prosecutors should consider their carnage. I oppose the death penalty. However, Letkemann and Orlewicz warrant castration.
