Twin Projects

On Thursday, the Seattle Supersonics hired Coach P.J. Carlesimo. According to General Manager Sam Presti, Carlesimo is a perfect mentor. "One of the reasons P.J. is the guy is his ability to teach. And I think we have a number of players on this team who want to get better, and want to be coached and have come from programs where they have been coached," Presti said. "Ultimately, at the end of the day, it's about improving your ball club."

Both Seattle and Carlesimo require rehabilitation. Carlesimo has been a failure. His career record is 183-222. Meanwhile, the Sonics have recorded consecutive losing campaigns. Ideally, this pairing will mutually benefit. Unfortunately, I do not expect this.
