Grey’s Area

She could not die. Meredith Grey is “Grey’s Anatomy.” Upon her expiration, the show could not simply restart. With that stated, their potential death storyline was intriguing and encompassing. The plot evolved from standard medical drama circumstance, doctors responding amidst a disaster, to compelling emotional cliffhanger, to cheesy parody of death which invited the question, what was the point?

Grey’s Anatomy is television’s finest. However, these storylines are predictable and inept. A traumatic medical disaster? Sprinting toward the white light? The mother-daughter hug where heaven apparently swaps deaths? ABC’s premiere program has done better. They must recover their exemplary standard. Otherwise, they will rescind into the abyss of ordinary television.
