The OC: Overdue Cancellation

This show commenced with sharply written, heartwarming storylines. The OC rapidly descended into soap opera drivel. Their five seasons included mother-teenager sex, illegitimate children, lesbianism, car chases, special effects crashes, intentional and unintentional murder, alcoholism, drug abuse, and mega manipulation.

On Thursday, the series concluded. The OC’s initial season was inspired. Their second stanza was marginal. Their third, fourth, and five seasons were pathetic, desperate, and revolting. The drama was insipid and unrealistic. Whereas Laguna Beach is dialogue driven reality, the OC was twist nauseating fluff.

The OC’s cancellation was belated. Thankfully, the canning has occurred. Beverly Hills 90210, Dawson’s Creek, and the aforementioned Laguna advanced the teenage drama concept. The OC set back the model. Two decades subsequent, the airing of the series will still be regrettable.
