On Friday, the Connecticut Supreme Court permitted gay marriage. According to the 4-3 majority, civil unions constitute separate standards. I cannot oppose this ruling. I cannot support this ruling. Partners should receive insurance, property, related status, and tax exemptions. However, elected officials must resolve this. Judges must not.
