On Tuesday, Senator Hillary Clinton addressed the Democratic National Convention. Clinton’s speech was exemplary. Her performance was poignant. Her words were wonderful. Clinton did not gush. She did not prattle. Akin to her concession, she embraced Barack Obama. She encouraged her supporters.

Obviously, Clinton congratulated herself. She recounted her campaign. She restated the importance. However, she was cordial, compassionate, magnanimous, and sensitive. Clinton’s stories were emotional. Pundits will analyze. They will scrutinize. They cannot neglect the obvious.

During her campaign, Clinton won twenty-two contests. She won 1,926 delegates. She won 18,046,007 votes. Concerning her supporters, Clinton can coax, implore, and urge. She cannot mandate.
