Another Offseason, Another Tigers Acquisition

On Monday, the Atlanta Braves traded shortstop Edgar Renteria to the Detroit Tigers. As reciprocation, the Braves received minor league pitcher Jair Jurrjens and outfielder Gorkys Hernandez. In 2007, the Tigers underachieved. Their offense was frustrating. Their defense was nauseating. Renteria should improve them. However, this is not guaranteed. Last offseason, the Tigers acquired Gary Sheffield. They declined.
