Lame Departure

On Monday, Karl Rove resigned. Once, Rove championed a permanent Republican majority. Twice, he elected President Bush. Unfortunately, this triumph was singular. Concerning immigration reform, social security reform, tax reform, tort reform, and the permanent majority… he failed.

Strikingly, Rove’s exodus was muted. In 2004, Rove’s walk would have been the news. Sadly, his departure symbolizes administration stature… diminished and irrelevant.
