Offerman: Despicable, Not Criminal

On Wednesday, shortstop Jose Offerman was charged with assault. On Tuesday, Offerman charged the mound. He attacked two players with a bat. Offerman’s actions were deplorable. With that stated, these charges are ridiculous. They are also dangerous. Assuming Offerman is penalized, who is next? Defenseman? Defensive tackles? Pitchers?
