Hocking Their Sacrifice

In the federal budget, President Obama proposed private veterans insurance. On Wednesday, he abandoned this proposal. President Obama’s decision is correct.

The United States armed forces preserve our freedom. They protect our nation. They are not merely another expenditure. They are not a cost reduction mechanism.

President Obama’s budget is $3.5 trillion. Private veterans insurance would have saved $534 million. President Obama’s premise was ridiculous. He should have never advocated this.
