On Friday, President Bush acted. Immediately, Chrysler and General Motors will receive $13.4 billion. In February, they will receive $4 billion.

President Bush’s decision is correct. America could not afford a collapse. Economic theory is idealistic and utopian. Economic reality is merciless. Republicans should realize this.
