Race is sacred.

Charles Barkley: “I think race was the No. 1 factor. You can say it's not about race, but you can't compare the two résumés and say [Chizik] deserved the job. Out of all the coaches they interviewed, Chizik probably had the worst résumé.”

Concerning Chizik, Barkley and I concur. His hiring is a joke. With that stated, Barkley’s insinuation is ridiculous. Race was irrelevant. Auburn is simply incompetent.

Racism remains prevalent. Thus, race should not be trivialized. When this occurs, actual victims are marginalized. Their recovery protracts.
