Denver 2008: Clinton Restates Greatness, Roasts Republicans
On Wednesday, President Clinton addressed the Democratic National Convention. Clinton’s speech was spectacular. His performance was perfect. His rhetoric was remarkable. For sixteen hours, Democrats craved incineration. Cronyism. Katrina. Partisanship. Torture. Tonight, Clinton scorched conservatives. He also restated the obvious. In American politics, Clinton remains elite.
This evening, Barack Obama disrespected President Clinton. Obama afforded only fifteen minutes. Despite this, Clinton was exemplary. He was magnanimous. He sold Obama. Henceforth, Obama owes his predecessor.
