Denver 2008: Biden’s Acceptable Evening

On Wednesday, Senator Joe Biden addressed the Democratic National Convention. His speech was adequate. Biden was passable. He was not perfect. He was satisfactory. He was not stellar. Ultimately, Biden’s fortes were foretold. Concerning national security, his assertions were authoritative. His criticisms were crisp.

As previously stated, Vice Presidents are disciplined. Vice Presidents are regimented. They enumerate constricted cases. They recite convenient criticisms. They are not independent. They are not opinionated. They are never the news. Tonight, Biden respected this script. He slipped. He never stumbled. If this evening recurs, Biden vindicates his value.
