John Brady: Fatally Inconsistent, Finally Finished

On Friday, LSU fired Coach John Brady. Absurdly, Brady touted his success. “I've coached in the best league in the country and I've coached a lot of great guys,” Brady said. “They've done some great things that had not been done here in a long time. Under those circumstances it's a pretty good 10-year run.”

During his career, Brady accrued a 192-139 record. He won two Southeastern Conference Western Division Championships. Unfortunately, he recorded five cellar conclusions.

Inconsistency is infuriating. When one wins and loses, wins and loses, wins and loses, fans are demoralized. Programs cannot advance. Simply stated, frustration permeates college basketball. Inconsistency exacerbates frustration.
