On New Year’s Day, the San Diego Chargers retained General Manager A.J. Smith. Smith signed a 5-year, $11 million contract. Smith is an ass. He estranged Marty Schottenheimer. The aforesaid was stupid. Last season, the Chargers went 14-2. This season, they are 11-5. The Chargers worsened. Smith deserves a reward? He warrants a public flogging. Lamentably, the Chargers disagree.
