Buckeyes Dream Decapitated

Illinois 28 (1) Ohio State 21
Last season, the Buckeyes dominated. They averaged thirty-six points. They surrendered twelve points. This season, the Buckeyes were pretenders. True, their statistics were comparable. However, they were not real. Ohio State could not overcome mistakes. They were not elite. They played no one. On Saturday, Todd Boeckman tossed three interceptions. Chris Wells accrued only seventy-six yards. Inevitably, Ohio State succumbed.
