NEW RULE

Defeatism is admirable.

On Sunday, Tommy Thompson withdrew. Thompson was not ascending. He could not win. Thus, he conceded. Presidential campaigns are not constituency forums. They are not secondary showcases. They are serious. They warrant serious contenders. Personally, I applaud Thompson. I hope Sam Brownback, Chris Dodd, Mike Gravel, Duncan Hunter, Dennis Kucinich, Ron Paul, and Tom Tancredo mirror his example.
