Assessing the All-Stars

On Sunday, the American League and National League All-Star rosters were announced.

Concerning the American League, Carlos Guillen, Torii Hunter, Victor Martinez, and Manny Ramirez should have been excluded. Orlando Cabrera, Curtis Granderson, Joe Mauer, and Gary Sheffield should have been included. Josh Beckett should start the contest.

Concerning the National League, Barry Bonds should not start. He should participate. However, fans should have considered controversy and statistics. Miguel Cabrera, J.J. Hardy, Orlando Hudson, and Aaron Rowland should been excluded. Adam Dunn, Kelly Johnson, Chipper Jones, and Hanley Ramirez should have been included. Jake Peavy should start the contest.
