Horry, Diaw, Stoudemire Punished

On Monday, Robert Horry hip checked Steve Nash. On Tuesday, the NBA suspended Horry for two contests. Boris Diaw and Amare Stoudemire were also suspended one game for leaving the bench. Horry’s reprimand is inadequate. His actions were callous. They could have been injurious. Concerning Diaw and Stoudemire, the suspensions were warranted. The NBA’s bench abandonment rules are unambiguous. Enforcing them is proper.
