Stop Being Jackasses!

She wanted to win for her kids. She entered an absurd contest, with a ridiculous name, she consumed o much water, and she died. Jennifer Strange was twenty-eight years old.

The contest was "Hold your Wee for a Wii." The disc jockeys were informed of the risks of excessive water consumption. They flippantly dismissed them. Their attitude and this contest were symptomatic of a radio culture, which passes ignorance and immaturity as entertainment.

Commercial radio is fading. Satellite radio and twenty-four hour television have supplanted this once proud medium. However, this does not allow them to disgrace or dishonor themselves. The acts of these dj’s and their brethren are petulant, pathetic, and juvenile. They make me sick and worse, they have killed have someone.

Commercial radio is fading in profitability. However, their descent into adolescence is worse.
