From Golden Bust to Domer Coach

Ron Powlus was destined for greatness. He was a Parade All-American, an offensive epic, and one of the most prized recruits in the history of high school football.

During his Notre Dame career, he started forty-four contests. He completed 558 of 969 passes for 7,602 yards with 52 touchdowns. Despite owning twenty career records, reality never eqalued hype. Powlus was visciously criticized as a monumental bust.

On Thursday, Powlus became Notre Dame’s quarterback coach.
