Last week, Indiana received three years probation. Former Coach Kelvin Sampson received a severe reprimand. Indiana remains postseason eligible. Sampson is a professional assistant. Why should he care?

If petulance is their objective, the NCAA has succeeded. If punishment is their objective, they must revoke postseason. Fans ignore recruiting restrictions and scholarship reductions. They cannot ignore postseason exclusion. The NCAA must acknowledge this.
