Despite David Beckham’s debut, the Los Angeles Galaxy lost 1-0. Obviously, Beckham is renowned. America knows his team. America also knows soccer’s lone statistic… goals. Unfortunately, ESPN is stupid. Following the contest, their crawl read “Beckham: entered game in 78th minute (did not score). Seriously? Both Beckham and the Galaxy did not score? Remarkable. Statistics are evident. Soccer is irrelevant. ESPN, stop televising soccer. Stop stating the obvious.
