Creighton’s Altman Yay!

On Wednesday, Dana Altman renounced his Arkansas decision. He reunited with Creighton. He pledged career loyalty to them. Altman’s decision is not unprecedented. Famously, Bobby Cremins spurned South Carolina for Georgia Tech. Recently, Gregg Marshall rebuffed the College of Charleston for Winthrop.

Altman’s decision is correct. Arkansas is not Florida, North Carolina, Texas, or UCLA. Arkansas is not even a shimmering second tier program. Arkansas is a posturing power and a faded relic. Arkansas does not deserve Altman. Thankfully, Altman realized this.
