State of the Union Reaction – Morning Show Edition

On Wednesday, three White House contenders responded to the State of the Union Address. CBS’s Early Show hosted John McCain. NBC’s Today Show aired Rudy Giuliani. Barack Obama appeared on all three networks. Giuliani and McCain supported the troop surge. McCain labeled the opportunity “a last chance.” Meanwhile, Obama panned the “escalation.”

Inevitably, presidential politics engulfed the conversation. Giuliani stated his mayoral experience qualified him. Obama retorted a story concerning his education. He also made CBS’s Harry Smith appear incredibly unprepared.
